Method of Making Butter Chicken
- 1 medium sized chicken(800 gm)-cut it into 12 pieces
Makhani gravy
- 1 inch piece ginger and 10 flakes garlic-finely chopped.
- 1/4 cup kaju(cashewnuts)
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup cream approx
- Chopped Coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
Method of Making Butter Chicken
- Blend ginger,garlic and cashews to a paste in a mixer with little water.
- Put paste in a deep dish.
- Add tomato puree and all spices,oil,butter in a non-stick pan and stir well for 8 minutes.
- Add about 1cup of water,mix and cover it with lid for 6 minutes.Stir once in between.
- Add cooked chicken to the gravy.Cover and heat for 4 minutes.Turn off heat and let it cool.
- To this mixture add milk and heat uncovered for 2 minutes and then add Cream.
- Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
- Butter Chicken is ready serve hot.
